Let your waves crash down on me and take me awayYellowcard, Ocean Avenue
I’ve been on vacation since last Friday, and it’s wonderful. Other than the party there’s been very little I’ve had to do other than normal day-to-day litter box, wet food, workout kind of stuff. It’s been glorious. Spent some time with Mike, got a bunch of reading done, puttered around the house.
I got my nose pierced. Been meaning to do it for awhile, so I did it on my birthday. That was fun. I also got to design some custom jewelry for some of my other piercings, so that was fun. They’ll be ready in August, just in time for my nose to be checked out, so timing is perfect.
I really needed this week to relax and recharge. I didn’t realize how much stress I was under until it was mostly gone, at least temporarily. I feel more rested than I have in awhile. Months. Maybe even years. It’s been really nice. My mental health, especially, needed a recharge. Essentially having no responsibilities has been really nice. I answered a work email on Sunday morning and my boss texted and chewed me out and told me just to ignore it all for the next week. Work will be there next Monday when I get back. It made me laugh.
I’ve got nothing else. It’s been a quiet week, which has been nice.
