I got my second dose on Wednesday, felt pretty good yesterday, just really tired. I ended up taking a four hour nap in the middle of the day. And then between how tired I still was and an absolutely grueling day at work today, I came home, at dinner, and slept for another two hours. And then I snacked. Tomorrow I hope that I’m feeling well enough to get back on the diet train and back to the gym.
I will say this – with the Pfizer jab, I never felt sick so much as I felt tired and achy after the second shot. In that respect I was lucky, especially after hearing so many horror stories from people who got seriously ill. The tiredness will fade in hopefully another day.
What a hell of a day. I couldn’t believe how busy it was. By and large people were nice, but there were a couple of rotten ones in the bunch, too. I don’t understand why some people just have to be nasty. I get that lines are long, but the cashiers are doing the best that they can under the circumstances. Being a nasty old bitch isn’t going to help matters at all. Also, if you don’t want lines, don’t wait until two days before the holiday to go shopping! It’s going to be even worse tomorrow, I’m sure. But after one nine-hour shift, I’m on vacation and I literally cannot wait.
I have things planned – things around the house, things with friends, appointments for various things (among them new piercings!), things with books, things with controllers, things with classes, and I’m just looking forward to not having to be at work for a week. A week to read, play video games, putter in the garden. A week to get ahead on projects, a week to relax and recharge. I’m just staring down the barrel of one of the busiest days of the year.
I guess that’s it for today. See you on Sunday for the weekly review! Stay safe, everyone!
