I can almost taste vacation

I’m staring down the barrel of one more shift until vacation starts. I’ve got some big projects I’m undertaking, but I’m looking forward to it. I’m hoping to get the bulk of them done early in the week so I can relax for the rest of the week and have some fun.

Still no word from my psychiatrist. I think we’re now in DEFCON 2. I don’t need meds right this second, but I’m going to need them pretty damn soon. I emailed my PCP to see if he would fill it in the short term, but I haven’t heard back yet. This isn’t urgent, but it’s going to be relatively soon.

We had a customer tonight demanding to see other customers’ vaccination cards. When confronted and told that she really can’t do that, she threw an empty coffee cup in my face. I was really hoping that we were done with this nonsense. Apparently not. Fun fact – she had her vaccination card laminated on a string around her neck. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – people are fucking crazy. And COVID has only made the crazy ones crazier.

I hope everyone has a most excellent weekend.
